Elected officials should have an understanding of the daily struggles middle class working Missourians face. I am not a career politician, and I have successful careers in both Medicine and Information Technology. My focus will be on problem resolution to make the lives of Missourians better, not partisan politics.
Families must live within their means, and I believe the government should do the same. I am a strong proponent of optimizing the use of limited resources and eliminating wasteful government spending. Missourians will continue to enjoy reasonable taxes as long as there is good stewardship of their elected officials. I am dedicated to keeping the state in a strong financial position by promoting fiscal restraint and ensuring tax dollars are spent in the most strategically and effective way possible.
I am a pro-life supporter and will be an advocate for the unborn.
I am a hunter and have a conceal-carry permit. I am a strong supporter of the Second Amendment. I believe in enforcing the current gun laws and not passing new laws that infringe on the rights of law-abiding gun owners.
Missouri is one of the few states remaining that will not allow nurse practitioners to practice to the full extent of their education and training. Currently, 28 states and the Veterans Administration have granted full practice autonomy to certified nurse practitioners. As a Nurse Practitioner, I will support full practice authority in Missouri. I will ensure nurse safety and optimal patient care by addressing unsafe nurse staffing levels.
Obtaining optimal education opportunities for our children is the goal of every parent and that is why parents should have school choice. Parents should have learning choices such as public school, private school, charter school, or home school for their children.
I believe in educating children and not indoctrinating them and that is why I will oppose all liberal social engineering schemes in our schools.
I support policies that protect workers while still allowing for the growth of businesses. Helping businesses grow while protecting workers rights are not mutually exclusive.
Economic growth is necessary to keep Missouri thriving. Attracting new businesses and assisting current businesses is important. I will ensure there are incentives to attract new businesses and that government regulations are not a burden to small business owners.
I would oppose any new tax increases and advocate for decreases in taxes offset by expense reduction and increased revenue generated from remittance fees similar to Oklahoma’s law. I support the elimination of personal property taxes.
Missouri is a desirable place to live, work, and visit because of the safety attributed to outstanding first responders. As an EMT, I have worked closely with law enforcement, making me knowledgeable about police operations and the unique challenges that police officers face while performing their job. I will advocate for policies and programs that support law enforcement, firefighters, and EMS so they can perform their job safely while protecting our state.
I will never support defunding the police and resist all efforts of those who attempt to do so.
Many Missourians remain uninsured or underinsured. Health insurance premiums and deductibles keep increasing, and healthcare costs are spiraling out of control. As a Nurse Practitioner, RN, and EMT, I have first-hand knowledge of the devastating effects that a broken healthcare system has on patients. I believe that health insurance should be affordable, doesn't deny coverage to those with preexisting conditions, and is portable.
I believe the will of the people is best decided by the government that is the closest to the people.
I will promote policies to increase government transparency and accountability so Missourians are aware of the issues and can better assess the decisions that are being made by their elected officials.
